Soundwave Consulting is a digital strategy consultancy primarily servicing the entertainment industry. We work with musicians, record labels, talent buyers, promoters, music venues, festivals, and more in support of achieving our clients' goals through thoughtful and intelligent digital marketing and advertising.
Our team has worked on over 50 album release campaigns (27 that have debuted in the top 10 on a Billboard genre chart, 15 at the #1 position), over 3,000 live music advertising campaigns in 17 countries, and helped sell over 250,000 festival tickets around the world.
We also offer consulting services, digital strategy design, implementation, and management, social media management, email marketing, automation, data analysis, and web/graphic/video design.
Our office is located on the Historic Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, Virginia - one of the country's oldest and most beautiful pedestrian malls. There are hundreds of dining and retail options within walking distance and we're a stone's throw from Charlottesville's best live music venues.

WHO WE ARE SEEKING
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to become a part of the Soundwave team. Ideal candidates will be able to work in-person at our primary office in Charlottesville, Virginia but exceptional candidates will be considered regardless of geographic location. Experience and an understanding of the entertainment industry as a whole is a plus.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the following areas, though we're willing to train for some skills that may not already be in place:
— communicating with clients via email
— utilization of project management software
— Google / Microsoft office software including:
• Docs/Word • Sheets/Excel • Slides/Powerpoint
— social media management including knowledge of:
• Facebook (including all features, functionalities, and post types) • Instagram (including Stories)
• Twitter • YouTube • Snapchat • SoundCloud • Spotify for Artists • Pandora AMP
• Bandsintown • SongKick • content calendars
— digital advertising across Facebook / Instagram, Google AdWords / YouTube, Spotify, Snapchat, Bandsintown, Twitter, & other similar ad exchanges with comprehension of tag-based conversion tracking, sales funnels, attribution models & windows, and campaign data analysis
— remarketing and retargeting tactics & techniques
— Google Analytics, UTM tracking, & correlating data analysis
— email marketing including:
• custom template creation • drip campaigns / automation
— basic web video, and graphic design skills including knowledge of:
• Wordpress • Squarespace • Wix • landing page design
• HTML5, CSS, Java, PHP, & Python knowledge a plus
• Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, & After Effects
Position is salaried, full-time work and may require more than 40 hours per week during non-standard work hours/weekends.
Compensation commensurate with experience. PTO included.
